BISHOP’S Stortford rockers Roses in Rome are grappling with their new-found fame after one of their songs was picked as the theme tune for TNA Wrestling.

The power-punk quartet, who got together two years ago, are now providing the soundtrack to the US promoter’s Impact matches after winning a competition organised by metalheads’ monthly mag Kerrang!

Their track, Tear Yourself Apart, will now be the programme’s main musical backdrop when it goes on game show network Challenge every Sunday night.

It’s a coup that should win them thousands of new fans, as TNA is the UK’s most popular wrestling show and is screened in more than 100 countries.

Stars include former WWF legend Hulk Hogan and ex-WCW player Sting, who is now a commentator but still regularly straps on the spandex to jump in the ring.

Roses in Rome drummer Rich Guy said: “Even before we’d entered this, someone once asked me what my dream would be and I told them it was getting our music on TNA.

“2012 has been incredible so far for us. There’s been a lot of opportunities – it’s been absolutely mental.”

The guys will celebrate their achievement on home turf next Thurday (Feb 9), when they headline Harlow’s Incoming night at The Square. Doors open at 8pm and entry is £4. See www.thesquareharlow.com.
