IT was celebration time for Harlow Rugby Club’s U-15 team when they won 14-5 at lowly Upminster to capture the Essex League division three title.
Harlow took an early lead on Sunday when a flowing, passing move phase culminated in James O’Hanlon scoring a 10th-minute try converted by Josh Davies.
The home side bounced back with an unconverted try on 15 minutes and Harlow led 7-5 at the break.
From the restart, the visitors attacked again and extended their lead.
This time it was Kurtis Knightley who beat two defenders and scored. Davies kicked the conversion.
Harlow kept their lead until the end and were unlucky not to add to their score.
Harlow manager Kevin Ellis said: “We are very proud of the team and they have played very well. They have not lost a game in the league and deserve to win the title.”
