Porter fell awkwardly in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Grays in the Ryman League division one north opener.
He later went to hospital where it was discovered he had dislocated the shoulder and he could be out for some time.
“I hope to bring in someone on loan,” said Warren. “I have spoken to two people. They could come in. I’m working on that.”
Hawks immediately recalled Shaun Gliddon from a loan spell at Spartan South Midlands League side Hertford Town and he featured as a late substitute in Tuesday’s 3-0 league win against Potters Bar Town, Hawks’ first home match of the new campaign.
Gliddon was one of three loaned to Hertford.
James Pegram and striker Reece Dobson will remain at the Hertfordshire side, but can be called back if Harlow require their services.
Harlow host Barton Rovers in the preliminary round of the FA Cup this Saturday.
Aside from Porter, Warren has a full squad to choose from.
With big money up for grabs, Harlow know how important it is to get through.
The winners will host Spartan South Midlands League side Kentish Town or Essex Senior League team Bethnal Green United in the first qualifying round.
Harlow Town are away to Enfield Town in the Ryman division one north on Monday (3pm KO). Midfielder Clark Akers misses this match as he serves a one-match ban following his red card against Grays Athletic.
