Schools closed after heavy snowfall hits Harlow

Heavy snowfall overnight in Harlow has led to most schools in the town closing for the day.

Snow in HarlowOf the few schools remaining open this morning (Wednesday, January 6), The Spinney Infant & Junior schools, Water Lane Primary and Tany's Dell are all set to close at lunchtime.

Mark Hall is shut for all pupils except those in Year 11, while St Mark's remains open only for those due to take exams.

Staff and pupils at Passmores, however, are braving the cold weather to continue the schoolday as normal.

The following schools in Harlow and Epping have reported they are closed today (Wednesday, January 6) because of the severe weather conditions:
