Standards for what the public can expect from local organisations tackling anti-social behaviour have been published by the Safer Harlow Partnership.
Eight new minimum standards have been agreed in a bid to make the public more aware of what Harlow Council, the police and other organisations can do to help them.Malcolm Morley, chairman of the Safer Harlow Partnership, said: “In Harlow we have a well-established community safety partnership that is achieving real improvements for local people. We have long recognised that we can do more working together with residents than as individual organisations.
“We encourage people to report crime and anti-social behaviour because if we don’t know about a problem we can’t take action. We fully understand, however, that residents need to be confident that if they do report a problem action will be taken and that they will be kept informed. The new standards set out what the public can expect from the police and the council.”
A copy of the new standards can be picked up from the Civic Centre or viewed on the council's website.
The logo will be used on new materials and appears on the partnership’s website.
