Police appeal following attempted robbery at Harlow play area

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery on a woman near a children’s play area in Harlow.

PoliceBetween 9.40pm and 10pm on Tuesday, January 24 the victim was walking along the footpath from Hookfield towards Partridge road. As she neared the children’s play area, a man grabbed her from behind demanding her mobile phone. When she replied she did not have one, he let her go and ran off across the field towards Barn Mead.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 30s of a stocky build and about 6ft tall. He was wearing a black hooded top, black jogging bottoms, black trainers and a black scarf was covering his face.
