POLICE investigating a sexually-motivated attack on a young woman have visited 400 homes in Harlow and spoken to more than 1,000 people, it was revealed this week
.
.
But officers investigating the incident said they still want to speak to more people living in the Toddbrook area where the attack took place at about 5pm on Tuesday, January 19.
The attacker ran off when the woman, who is in her late teens, screamed repeatedly.
Detectives also want to talk to a man who was seen in the area at the time of the attack. He is described as being in his late teens, about 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a navy or grey hooded top and dark bottoms.
The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Inspector Martin Pasmore, said there were still witnesses who had not come forward yet.
“In particular a second man was seen by the victim in the area of Harberts Road and Third Avenue at the time,” he said. “He is described as white in his late teens and wearing overalls similar to those used by mechanics and a backpack.
“Also, there was a group of young men wearing baseball caps and hooded tops in the area of Ryecroft.”
