HARLOW Stadium hosted the town’s first-ever business exhibition with
organisers hailing the event a major success.
About 70 local businesses – way above initial expectations – pitched stalls at the networking event held at the stadium in Roydon Road on Tuesday (June 15) and 400 more than visitors turned up on the day.
The exhibition was opened by Harlow MP Robert Halfon, who stayed to talk to local businessmen and women.
Co-organiser Khaled Khan, a local business manager at the NatWest bank, said: “The first reason for this exhibition was to showcase services and products of local businesses and I have to say the presentations were very, very professional.
“The second reason was for networking. It really was good for Harlow.
“We have already taken bookings and sponsorship for next year and it’s going to be bigger and better. There’s no two ways about it.”
