Friends' fashion fundraiser in aid of St Clare Hospice

HIGH street clothes at bargain prices will be on sale at a fashion show raising funds for St Clare Hospice next week.

Volunteers from Friends of St Clare Hospice will be modelling clothes at the show which is being held at the Great Parndon Community Centre next Wednesday (September 8), starting at 7pm.

The garments will then be on sale for visitors to snap up for a snip.

Cash made from ticket sales and 10 per cent of the proceeds from clothes sales will be donated to the Hastingwood-based hospice.

Handmade jewellery will be on sale to raise cash for Harlow Fields School, in Tendring Road. There will also be a raffle.

Friends’ chairwoman Rita Tomlin said: “It's going to be a fun event. We’ve got six models from our group who will be modelling the clothes to a musical soundtrack.

“Most of the money raised will be from ticket sales so we need as many people to come along as possible.”

The Friends group was formed more than 20 years ago and has raised more than £150,000 for the hospice.
